Conversational Navajo is open to speakers of all levels and to the general public. Speakers of all levels are encouraged to attend, and individuals interested in learn some basic Navajo are also welcomed. One does not need to be enrolled to participate in the conversation group. Language lovers are also welcomed. UNM Navajo language students learning Navajo attend conversational hour to practice and share the Navajo language, and to engage in conversation with speakers and non-speakers. The focus of Conversation Navajo is to speak.
Conversational Navajo meets once a week, Wednesdays, from 3pm to 5pm. The meetings will run from September 3 through December 4, 2019, and will pick up again on January 29, 2020. It is led by Esther Yazzie-Lewis.
