Baybayin: Buhayin Natin Ang Sariling Atin!

A Baybayin Lecture & Workshop was held at Sual National High School, Pangasinan, Philippines, through an invitation of inspired students who are res earching on the language.  The program began with performances from students in the said high school and proceeded with the Baybayin Lecture and Workshop.  Following the program was an interview conducted by a group of researching students regarding the revitalization of the Baybayin language.  Baybayin is the indigenous writing of the native Filipinos prior to the romanization of the Filipino languages due to the Spanish colonization.  Baybayin is currently being revitalized in the Philippines by advocates and some members of the government through the House Bill No. 1022 and Senate Bill 433.
