The Project for Survey and Recording of Indigenous languages of Darfur shall be done in response to the IYIL2019. Its a great opportunity to conduct it in this year before its too late for there are more than 4 languages already disappeared forever. So far there are 12 languages still spoken in Darfur including the Masalit, Tama, Daju, Fur, Beria (Zaghawa), Midob, Bidyat, Mima, Asongor, Eringa, Mileri and Singar. There are scattered allover the country but no efforts have been made before to save and record them as major sources of information for research and investigation. The Center for Darfur Heritage at the University of Nyala is planning to make a difference in such matter and for contributing to IYIL2019.
