El primer libro, S intli itos. La voz d el maíz , refleja la riqueza y prodigalidad de la tradición oral de nuestros pueblos originarios; también de sus costumbres, de sus tradiciones y de su cosmogonía, en especial de la Huasteca Baja ubicada al norte del estado de Veracruz. Integrado por 12 relatos, el escritor y poeta nahuablante Juan Hernández Ramírez retrata con fidelidad el lazo que lo une con la tierra que lo vio nacer: Colatlán, municipio de Ixhuatlán de Madero, Veracruz.

El segundo libro, Ejekateskatl : Espejo del viento , está conformado por cuatro secciones, a la vez integradas por trece poemas. Se trata de un recorrido por la cosmovisión de uno de los pueblos originarios de lo que hoy es México: el pueblo náhuatl, sus orígenes, su designio y su estancia en este mundo. En él, Hernández Ramírez nos habla del principio de todo cuanto es, de los dioses y su labor creadora y de nuestro paso fugaz por esta tierra.

It is for this reason that the United Nations declared 2019 the Year of Indigenous Languages in order to encourage urgent action to preserve, revitalize and promote them.
