This congress, organized by the Graduate Program in Letters of UFPR, by the Identity and Reading Research Group in partnership with the Research Group on Modern Foreign Languages, both also from UFPR, was conceived in honor of Professor Dr. Lynn Mario Trindade Menezes de Souza (USP), whose name has become a reference in the areas of Applied Linguistics, Cultural Studies and Literature, both in Brazil and internationally.
The objectives of the first edition of FICLLA are to involve the general public in the research topics presented, so as to provide everyone with the opportunity to contribute to the academic discussion of the subjects covered, as well as to bring together "lay" and "specialized" ", building knowledge in a more democratic way. In this way, the modalities of presentation of work, proposed here, differ from the formats usually present in congresses and academic events.
The congress will be organized around conversations wheels between the present ones, in order to allow more active participation of all, and PRESENTATION OF POSTERS, with the aim of constructing more dynamic and dialogical presentation spaces between the different participants. The activities of this first edition will be coordinated and conducted by partners and research partners of the honored teacher, but will always be open to discussion with the other participants.
