Irma Alvarez Ccoscco, poet and Quechua language educator, will give a poetry reading and talk about the role of Quechua in the Spanish-speaking world. Primarily spoken in the Peruvian Andes and the highlands of South America, Quechua is the most widely spoken language family of indigenous peoples of the Americas, with an estimated 8-10 million speakers.
