Foro Internacional sobre Inclusión y Equidad en la Educación – Todas y todos los estudiantes cuentan

El Foro proporcionará una plataforma de debate y un espacio de intercambio para promover políticas y prácticas inclusivas en materia de educación y compartir políticas y prácticas prometedoras. La Agenda 2030 para el Desarrollo Sostenible, con la mira puesta en no dejar a nadie atrás, brinda una oportunidad única para construir sociedades más inclusivas, justas y equitativas. Sigue habiendo retos para superar las dificultades para atender la gran riqueza poblacional que existe en los países en términos de sexo, edad, raza, origen étnico, estatus migratorio, capacidad, ubicación geográfica y otras características pertinentes para los contextos nacionales.
¿Qué podemos hacer para promover legislación, políticas, programas y prácticas inclusivas? ¿Qué medidas han adoptado los gobiernos para trasformar los principios en prácticas que garanticen entornos inclusivos de aprendizaje? ¿Qué recomendaciones se podrían formular para fomentar la inclusión en la educación? En este Foro la UNESCO aprovechará su singular capacidad de convocatoria para dar un nuevo impulso a la inclusión en la educación en el contexto de la Agenda 2030 para el Desarrollo Sostenible.
El Foro celebrará el 25º aniversario de la Conferencia Mundial sobre Necesidades Educativas Especiales, que organizaron conjuntamente la UNESCO y el Ministerio de Educación y Ciencia de España en Salamanca (España). En dicha Conferencia se aprobó con un amplio respaldo la Declaración de Salamanca, en la que se establece el principio fundamental de la inclusión en la escuela: “todos los niños deben aprender juntos, siempre que sea posible, haciendo caso omiso de sus dificultades y diferencias. Las escuelas integradoras deben reconocer las diferentes necesidades de sus alumnos y responder a ellas.

Indigenous languages matter for social, economic and political development, peaceful coexistence and reconciliation in our societies. Yet many of them are in danger of disappearing. It is for this reason that the United Nations declared 2019 the Year of Indigenous Languages in order to encourage urgent action to preserve, revitalize and promote them.
