Launching of International Year of Indigenous Languages and Celebration of International Mother Language Day

This is the first event to introduce the International Year of Indigenous Languages in the Philippines. It will also commemorate the International Mother Language Day. These two events will be presented through a slide/video production. There will be a presentation about the state of Philippine languages, a statement from an indigenous community from Southern Philippines and a lecture about the thoughts of our heroes about language, diversity and nationhood. The event includes a discussion about what the Philippines can do to promote and support the development of our indigenous languages.
